Diagnosis
The Sonos Era 100 is not rated for outdoor or wet conditions. Its IP rating is for indoor dust and humidity only.
How to Fix It
For temporary patio use, ensure it is under full cover and protected from all moisture. Use an outdoor-rated extension cord. Bring it inside immediately after use, and before any dew or rain forms. Wipe down with a dry cloth if needed.
If That Didn't Work
There is no fix for weather damage. For permanent outdoor audio, you need a speaker rated for it, like the Sonos Move 2 (IP56) or a dedicated outdoor model wired to a Sonos Amp.
Heads Up
The Era 100 has no weather sealing. Direct rain, sprinklers, or prolonged high humidity will damage the internal electronics and fabric grille. This damage is not covered under warranty.
