Standard procedure for extended leave:
- Turn off the main cold water supply to the RO system using the shut-off valve on the feed water adapter.
Critical procedure for freezing weather:
- Turn off the main cold water supply to the RO system.
- Open the RO faucet to release pressure.
- Drain all water from the storage tank. You can do this by opening the RO faucet and letting it run until empty.
- Drain water from the system itself by disconnecting tubing at low points if necessary, per manual instructions for winterizing.
If you are not expecting freezing temps, simply shutting off the feed water supply is sufficient.
Operating parameter: The system must be installed in a sheltered environment. Avoid exposure to hot and cold weather or direct sunlight. This is especially important when unattended.
