DIAGNOSIS The fabric grille isn't removable on the Beam Gen 2, so you can't just pop it off and wash it. Dust and pet hair get woven into it.
FIX Sonos officially recommends using a soft, dry brush—like a clean, soft-bristled paintbrush or a dedicated electronics dusting brush. Gently brush in one direction (left to right) to lift the dust out. A vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment on its lowest suction setting, held a few inches away, can also pull dust off.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK For sticky spots, you can *very lightly* dampen a microfiber cloth with water (wring it out completely so it's barely damp) and gently dab—don't rub—the spot. Let it air dry fully. Never use cleaning sprays, solvents, or compressed air directly on the fabric.
HEADS UP Do not submerge, soak, or try to peel the fabric off. It's glued in place. Aggressive rubbing will mat the fabric and make it look worse. If it's a serious spill, power off and unplug the Beam immediately and let it dry for days before trying to use it.
