DIAGNOSIS Smearing is caused by using a dry cloth on oily fingerprints or using a cleaner not formulated for anti-reflective coatings. The NanoCell screen has a specific coating.
FIX Use distilled water only. Power off and unplug the TV. Lightly dampen a clean, lint-free microfiber cloth with distilled water. Wipe the screen gently in a circular motion. Immediately dry the screen with a second clean, dry microfiber cloth using straight strokes.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK For stubborn marks, use a 50/50 mix of distilled white vinegar and distilled water. Dampen (do not soak) the cloth with the solution. Test on a small corner first. Wipe gently and dry immediately. The mild acidity can break down grime.
HEADS UP Never spray liquid directly onto the screen. Never use window cleaners, abrasives, paper towels, or compressed air. Do not apply pressure. The anti-glare coating is delicate. Avoid cleaning near the screen's edges to prevent liquid seepage.
