You’re right to be cautious. Using the wrong cleaner or cloth can damage the anti-glare and anti-smudge coatings on QLED screens.
How to Fix It
Use only a dry, soft, lint-free microfiber cloth first. Gently wipe in one direction. For smudges, slightly dampen part of the cloth with distilled water—never spray liquid directly on the screen. Wipe gently, then immediately dry-buff with the dry part of the cloth. That’s all you should need for 99% of cleaning.
If That Didn't Work
For stubborn spots, you can use a 50/50 mix of distilled white vinegar and distilled water, applied sparingly to the cloth, never the screen. Avoid the edges so liquid doesn’t seep in. Never use window cleaner, solvents, or any abrasive cloths.
Heads Up
Pressure is your enemy. Don’t press hard, especially on a thin QLED panel. You’re wiping a coated surface, not scrubbing a countertop. Gentle is the way.
