DIAGNOSIS An F1E2 code indicates a problem with the water fill. The dishwasher didn't get enough water within the expected time, or the water inlet valve is stuck or failing.
FIX 1. Check your household water supply. Make sure the hot water shut-off valve under the sink, usually a brass knob on the supply line going to the dishwasher, is fully open. 2. Check the dishwasher's filter (yes, again). A severely clogged filter can slow the fill rate enough to trigger this error. Clean it thoroughly. 3. Check the float switch in the sump. It's a small plastic cup-like device. Lift it up and down; it should move freely. If it's stuck down by debris, clean around it.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The issue could be the water inlet valve itself, which is solenoid-operated and can get clogged with sediment. This requires more disassembly to check and clean or replace, usually involving removing the lower kick plate and accessing the valve where the water supply line connects.
