DIAGNOSIS The ink level indicators are estimates based on page count and cleaning cycles, not actual fluid sensors. Refilling doesn't automatically reset the counter.
FIX You need to manually reset the ink level monitoring. 1) On the printer control panel, press and hold the 'Stop' (red triangle) button for about 5-8 seconds. 2) You'll see the ink level indicators on the screen refill. This tells the printer, 'I've refilled the tanks, restart your estimate.' 3) The warning message should clear. You can continue printing even with a low message, but this reset aligns the software with your physical refill.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the warning persists for a specific color after resetting, ensure that particular tank was filled to the correct 'Max' line inside the tank. Also, check that the little rubber seal on the filling port is properly seated and hasn't been dislodged, which can cause an air leak.
HEADS UP The printer will still function if you ignore the low ink warning, as it's just an estimate. The real limit is when a tank gets physically empty. Always use genuine Epson ink or high-quality third-party ink designed for EcoTanks to avoid clogs that the printer will blame on 'low ink'.
