Diagnosis
The control panel is unresponsive. This is a power supply interruption. The most likely cause is a tripped thermal fuse on the main control board or a faulty door latch assembly.
How to Fix It
First, unplug the dishwasher or shut off the circuit breaker. Remove the lower kick plate. Locate the main control board at the front left, behind the panel. Using a multimeter, test the thermal fuse (usually a small white rectangular component) on the board for continuity. If it shows open, the board must be replaced as the fuse is non-serviceable.
If That Didn't Work
Test the door latch switch. The door must be fully latched to complete the start circuit. Remove the inner door panel to access the latch mechanism. Check the microswitch for continuity when the latch is engaged.
Heads Up
The main control board is the most common culprit for a completely dead unit. Replacing it requires disconnecting multiple wire harnesses; photograph their positions before removal.
