my milwaukee m18 drill driver just stopped working, no lights or anything, what's wrong?

— asked by Kevin

The most likely cause is a discharged or defective battery pack.

FIX:

  1. Remove the battery pack from the tool.
  2. Connect it to a compatible Milwaukee charger.
  3. If the charger lights indicate a problem or the pack won't charge, the battery pack is likely defective.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The tool itself could have an internal fault. This is covered by a five-year limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship.

HEADS UP: To get warranty service, you must return the tool freight prepaid and insured to a Milwaukee Service Center or Authorized Service Station. Include a copy of your proof of purchase. Do not attempt repairs yourself, as that voids the warranty.
