DIAGNOSIS That's usually a sign the main board isn't communicating cleanly with the panel, often from a loose connection that got jostled in shipping or setup.
FIX Unplug the TV from the wall. Grab a clean, dry microfiber cloth. Gently but firmly press along the entire back edge of the TV, especially the center and bottom where the main cables route into the panel. You're reseating the internal ribbon cables. Plug it back in and power up. If the lines are gone, you're good.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Try a panel self-test. With the TV off, press and hold the power button on the TV itself (not the remote) for about 10-15 seconds until you see the Samsung logo. It'll run a diagnostic. If the lines appear during this test, it's a hardware fault needing service.
HEADS UP Don't open the TV yourself to check connections on the QN85C. The panel is extremely fragile and you'll void the warranty. If the press test and self-test don't clear it, it's a call to Samsung support time.
