Diagnosis
The TV is in standby mode but isn't getting the 'wake up' signal from the remote or button. The most common cause is the power board not getting the right signal or a software hiccup during first setup.
How to Fix It
First, unplug the TV from the wall outlet. Wait a full 60 seconds. While it's unplugged, press and hold the physical power button on the TV (not the remote) for about 10 seconds. This drains any residual power. Plug it back in. You should see the standby light. Now, use the physical TV button to turn it on. If it works with the button, your remote might need paired or new batteries.
If That Didn't Work
Try a different power outlet directly in the wall, bypassing any power strips or surge protectors. A weak or faulty power strip can sometimes prevent the initial power surge the TV needs.
Heads Up
If the red standby light is blinking in a pattern (like 2 blinks, pause, 3 blinks), that's an error code. Count the blinks, as that tells you exactly which internal component the TV thinks has failed.
