DIAGNOSIS The Pro 575's Wi-Fi module (D2 controller) can be finicky, especially with modern dual-band routers. It often fails if your phone and grill are trying to connect on different bands (2.4GHz vs 5GHz).
FIX 1) On your phone, go into Wi-Fi settings and temporarily forget your home network. 2) Power cycle your router. 3) While the router reboots, unplug your Traeger for 30 seconds and plug it back in. 4) On the grill controller, go to Settings > Wi-Fi > Reconfigure. 5) On your phone, re-join your 2.4GHz network (you may need to disable 5GHz temporarily in your router app). 6) Follow the in-app prompts. The grill MUST connect to a 2.4GHz network.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The signal might just be weak in your grill's location. The internal antenna isn't powerful. Try moving your grill (temporarily) much closer to your router for the setup process. Once paired, it can often maintain a connection back in its normal spot.
HEADS UP Many mesh network systems (like Google Nest, Eero) can cause issues because they seamlessly switch bands. You may need to use your router's app to create a separate, dedicated 2.4GHz network just for the grill to eliminate this variable.
