Yeah, this one's common. The stainless-steel mixing shaft is likely not fully attached to the motor body. It needs to click into place. Unplug it, detach it, and reattach firmly.
Also, don't run it dry or on a high speed setting in an empty or near-empty container. That can cause the blades to grind against the bottom.
