The feature needs time to remap the area, especially if the doorbell was recently moved or power-cycled. IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The radar sensor can be obstructed by a very thick or metal faceplate. If you're using a third-party faceplate, remove it and see if the feature returns. Also, heavy rain, snow, or spider webs directly over the radar dome (the black circle on the front) can block it. HEADS UP Bird's Eye View only works with people-sized motion. It won't show a path for vehicles, animals, or very small motion. If you're only testing with cars driving by, it will correctly remain 'unavailable'.

Using a higher voltage (like 30V) will cause it to overheat and can permanently damage the unit. Measure the voltage at the doorbell wires with a multimeter. If it's consistently above 24VAC, you need a different transformer. Ensure the doorbell is not in direct, blistering afternoon sun for prolonged periods. Consider a sun shield accessory if it is. IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the voltage is correct and it's still excessively hot, the internal voltage regulator may be faulty. This is a defect. If still hazy, perform a hard reset. Press and hold the setup button on the front of the doorbell for 20 seconds until the light spins and goes out. After it reboots, check the video. The filter often un-sticks during the power cycle. IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The filter mechanism itself might be physically defective. If the haze is permanent and a reboot didn't fix it, you'll need to contact Ring Support for a warranty replacement. This is a known hardware issue with some units. IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If power is 'Very Good' but it still drops, your router might be assigning a new IP address that conflicts. In your router settings, assign a static IP address to the Ring doorbell or enable a DHCP reservation for its MAC address. HEADS UP The Pro 2's power kit (the little white module) MUST be installed at your chime, not bypassed. If it's not installed or is installed incorrectly, it can cause power instability even with a good transformer.
