DIAGNOSIS The remote control is not sending an IR signal. The most common cause is depleted batteries or an obstructed IR sensor.
FIX Replace the remote batteries with new CR2025 coin cell batteries. Confirm the polarity (+/-) is correct. Point the remote directly at the soundbar's front IR sensor from within 2 meters.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Test the remote's IR emitter. Use your smartphone camera to look at the front of the remote while pressing a button. You should see a faint purple light through the camera. No light means the remote is faulty.
HEADS UP The SP7Y's IR sensor is on the front right side of the soundbar. Ensure no objects, like a TV stand lip, are blocking the path.
