DIAGNOSIS The carafe is not sitting flush on the warming plate. The cause is either debris on the warming plate or a warped/cracked carafe base.
FIX Unplug the machine and let it cool. Clean the silver warming plate with a damp cloth to remove any mineral deposits or coffee residue. Inspect the bottom of the glass carafe for chips, cracks, or melted plastic. The three small plastic feet on the carafe bottom must be intact and even.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The warming plate itself may be bent or deformed from thermal stress. Visually inspect it for levelness. A severely warmed plate is a replacement part.
HEADS UP A wobbly carafe is a spill and burn hazard. Do not use the machine until the carafe sits securely. Use only original Technivorm carafes, as aftermarket ones may have dimensional variances.
