the google tv interface on my 65r655 is super laggy and apps keep crashing, how do i speed it up?

DIAGNOSIS: The built-in storage on the Google TV dongle inside these TVs can get clogged up with cache data from apps, which bogs down the whole system. It's a common complaint with this embedded design.

FIX: Go to Settings > Device Preferences > Storage. See how much space is free. Then go to Apps, scroll through your installed apps, and clear the cache for the big ones (YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video). Don't clear data unless you're okay signing back in. After that, go back to Device Preferences and do a full system restart (not just a power cycle). This clears the active memory and often makes the interface snappier.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If it's still a slog, the nuclear option is a factory reset (Settings > System > About > Factory Reset). This wipes all your logins and settings, but it's the most effective way to clear out deep system corruption. Set aside 20 minutes to log back into everything afterward.

HEADS UP: Adding more apps than you regularly use will slow it down again. The system storage is limited, so treat it like a phone—uninstall apps you don't actually watch.
