DIAGNOSIS: Windows HDR calibration is off or the monitor's local dimming is not engaged. This panel has edge-lit local dimming.
FIX: First, press the monitor joystick. Go to 'GameVisual' and select 'HDR' mode. Then, in Windows Display Settings, turn HDR 'On'. Run the 'HDR Calibration' app from the Microsoft Store. Follow the steps precisely.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The washed-out look is common in SDR desktop apps with HDR on. In Windows HDR settings, move the 'SDR Content Brightness' slider to your preference, often between 20-40.
HEADS UP: This monitor's HDR peak brightness is around 400 nits. Do not expect the extreme highlights of a high-end OLED or Mini-LED display. It is a basic HDR implementation.
