DIAGNOSIS The KEEP WARM function only works when brewing a full carafe into the glass carafe, not the thermal carafe, and only if the correct setting is activated.
FIX For the hot plate to activate, you must: 1) Use the glass carafe, not the thermal carafe. 2) Before brewing, press the KEEP WARM button until the icon lights up. 3) Select a carafe-size brew (e.g., Rich, Classic, Over Ice). The plate will only stay on for 60 minutes maximum after brewing finishes.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the plate still isn't heating, the brewer might be in ECO mode. Press and hold the KEEP WARM button for 5 seconds to toggle ECO mode off (the ECO icon on the display will turn off). ECO mode disables the warming plate entirely.
HEADS UP The thermal carafe is designed for insulation, not to sit on a hot plate. Do not place the thermal carafe on the warming plate—it can damage the carafe base and the heater will automatically shut off because it senses no weight.
