DIAGNOSIS The electronic controls have power, but the system isn't getting the signal to start the mechanical components. This can point to a faulty control board, or the unit is stuck in a reset or delay state.
FIX Start with a full system reset. 1) Press the Power button to turn the display off. 2) Unplug the dehumidifier from the wall. 3) While it's unplugged, remove the water bucket and hold down the Power button on the unit for 30 seconds. This discharges any residual power in the capacitors. 4) Leave it unplugged for 5 full minutes. 5) Plug it directly into a wall outlet (no power strip). 6) Re-insert the bucket until it clicks. 7) Press Power. Listen carefully: you should immediately hear the fan motor start. If you do, wait 3-5 minutes to see if the compressor relay clicks on.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If it's still silent after the reset, the main control board is likely dead. A telltale sign is if the display acts erratically or doesn't respond correctly to button presses. The board integrates the touch controls and the relays that power the fan and compressor.
HEADS UP Before concluding it's the board, double-check that you're not in a 'Fan Only' mode by mistake. The button with the fan icon should be lit for normal dehumidification mode, not just the fan symbol alone.
