what's the actual filter change schedule for the ROES-50? i don't want to guess.

— asked by Chloe

The filter change schedule for the ROES-50 is as follows:

  • Pre-filters (Stages 1 & 2): Replace every 6 to 12 months. These sediment and carbon block filters are in place to protect the RO membrane.
  • RO Membrane (Stage 3): Replace every 2 to 3 years. A noticeable drop in water quality or flow rate also signals it's time for a replacement.
  • Post-filter (Stage 4, if equipped): Replace this filter annually.

The RO membrane is critical for reducing total dissolved solids. You must test the product water periodically to verify the system's performance.

Use the included wrenches to open the filter housings. Always check that the O-rings are clean and properly lubricated before resealing to prevent leaks.

After changing any filter, flush the system thoroughly before using the water for drinking or cooking.
