DIAGNOSIS The correct USB thermal printer driver is not installed. Windows default drivers do not support this printer's command set.

FIX You need the 'Zebra' or 'ZPL' compatible driver. Do not use the manufacturer's name. Download the 'ZDesigner LP2844-Z' driver from the Zebra website. During installation, when prompted to select a port, connect your printer via USB and let Windows detect it. Select the new COM or USB port that appears. Set the installed printer to use this driver. Configure the port settings to: 9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, and hardware flow control.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The USB cable is for power only. Use a USB cable certified for data transfer. Test the cable with another data device.

HEADS UP You cannot have both a Bluetooth and USB connection active simultaneously. Disable Bluetooth in your PC's settings when using USB.
