DIAGNOSIS The monitor has a matte anti-glare coating. Using harsh chemicals will permanently damage this coating, causing clouding or streaks.
FIX Power off the monitor. Use a dry, soft microfiber cloth first to remove dust. For smudges, lightly dampen a second microfiber cloth with distilled water only. Gently wipe the screen. Never spray liquid directly onto the panel.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK For stubborn marks, use a screen cleaning solution specifically formulated for monitors and LCD/LED screens. Apply a small amount to the microfiber cloth, not the screen. Ensure it is alcohol-free and ammonia-free.
HEADS UP Never use paper towels, kitchen towels, or window cleaner. The anti-glare coating is delicate. Abrasive materials or solvents like isopropyl alcohol will create permanent dull spots.
