canon pixma mg3620 print head cleaning not working, lines still missing after i tried it

— asked by Jordan

Yeah, the standard clean doesn't always cut it for a stubborn clog. You need to escalate to a deep clean, then give it a full day to rest if that fails.

First, run a Deep Cleaning. On the printer itself, make sure it's on, then hold down the Stop button until the Alarm lamp flashes three times and let go. Wait for the ON lamp to settle (about 2 minutes). Then print a test page.

If the lines are still there, here's the critical step: turn the printer power off. Do not unplug it. Leave it completely off for 24 hours. This lets ink re-saturate the dried nozzles. After a full day, power it back on and run the Deep Cleaning procedure (three flashes) again.

If that didn't work: If it's still printing poorly after the second deep clean, the FINE cartridge itself is probably the issue and needs to be replaced with a new one. If a new cartridge doesn't fix it, it's time to contact the service center.
