Yeah, this one's common and it's actually normal. That click is the mechanical brake engaging.
The first time you run the tool after changing the direction of rotation using the forward/reverse button, you'll hear a single click on start-up. It's just the internal mechanism and doesn't indicate a problem or damage. It's part of the design to lock the tool off when the control button is in the center position.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the click is continuous, grinding, or happens every single time you pull the trigger (not just the first time after switching directions), that's different. Check that the chuck is tight and there's no debris binding it. If the noise persists, the tool may have internal damage and should be serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts.
