Diagnosis
Dishes are wet and spotted at cycle end. The most likely cause is a disabled heating element or incorrect rinse aid setting.
How to Fix It
First, ensure the heating element is enabled. Press and hold the Heated Dry button for 3 seconds. The indicator light should turn on. Run a Sanitary or Heavy cycle, which uses the highest final dry temperature. Second, check and fill the rinse aid dispenser. Adjust the rinse aid setting to level 4 or 5 via the dial inside the dispenser cap.
If That Didn't Work
The high-limit thermostat may have failed, preventing the heater from energizing. This is a thermal safety device that requires a multimeter to test for continuity.
Heads Up
For plastic items, use the Top Rack Only cycle with Heated Dry. Plastic does not retain heat like ceramic, so condensation drying is less effective. Always load plastics on the top rack.
