Diagnosis
The washable air filter is located behind the front grille. It must be cleaned every 2-3 weeks for proper airflow and efficiency.
How to Fix It
Power off and unplug the unit. Press the two tabs on the upper sides of the front grille and pull it forward. Remove the rectangular foam filter. Rinse it under lukewarm water until clean. Gently squeeze out excess water and let it air dry completely before reinserting.
If That Didn't Work
If airflow still seems weak after cleaning, check the rear coil for dust buildup. Use a soft brush attachment on a vacuum to gently clean the aluminum fins. Do not bend the fins.
Heads Up
Never operate the dehumidifier without the filter installed. It protects the evaporator coil from large debris. A dirty filter is the most common cause of reduced water collection.
