DIAGNOSIS The anti-reflective coating on the OLED screen is delicate. Using standard glass cleaner, paper towels, or microfiber cloths with chemical treatments will permanently damage it, creating streaks or dull spots.
FIX Use only a dry, clean, ultra-soft microfiber cloth designed for lenses or screens. Gently wipe in one direction with light pressure. For stubborn spots, lightly dampen a corner of the cloth with distilled water only. Wipe the spot, then immediately dry the area with the dry part of the cloth.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If a sticky residue remains, you can use a 50/50 mix of distilled white vinegar and distilled water. Apply a tiny amount to the cloth, not the screen. Wipe gently and dry immediately. This is safe for the coating but use it sparingly.
HEADS UP Never spray liquid directly onto the screen—it can seep into the edges and damage internal components. Never use alcohol, ammonia, acetone, or window cleaners. The screen is not glass; it's a soft plastic composite with a film filter.
