webos on my new lg c3 is super laggy and apps keep freezing, do i need to reset the whole thing?

DIAGNOSIS The internal storage on the TV's processor can get bogged down with cached data from apps, especially if you've installed many. This causes the OS to feel sluggish and unresponsive.

FIX Don't factory reset yet. First, clear the app caches. Go to All Settings > General > Devices > TV Management > Device Care. Run 'Optimize Now'. Then, go to 'Storage' and check usage. If 'System' or 'Apps' is high, go to 'App Data Management' and clear the cache for individual apps like Netflix, Disney+, etc. Finally, power cycle: unplug the TV from the wall for 60 seconds and plug it back in.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK A specific app might be corrupt. Go to All Settings > Support > Software Update and check for updates. Then, go to the Home Screen, press and hold the center button on an app icon, and select 'Delete'. Reinstall the problematic apps from the LG Content Store.

HEADS UP Avoid using the TV's built-in browser for heavy streaming. It's a known resource hog. For best performance, use a dedicated external streaming device (Apple TV, Roku) and treat WebOS as a backup.
