DIAGNOSIS The screen has a matte anti-glare coating that can be damaged by harsh chemicals or abrasive pressure.
FIX Use a dry, soft microfiber cloth first. Gently wipe in one direction to lift dust. For fingerprints, slightly dampen a second microfiber cloth with distilled water—never spray liquid directly on the screen. Wipe gently, then immediately dry with the first cloth.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK For stubborn spots, use a 50/50 mix of distilled white vinegar and distilled water on your cloth, not the screen. Test on a small corner first. Avoid the edges to prevent liquid seeping in.
HEADS UP Never use window cleaner, ammonia, alcohol, or paper towels. The anti-glare coating will degrade, leaving permanent cloudy patches.
