DIAGNOSIS Oils from hands and dust create a film. Using a dry cloth just moves it around.
FIX Power off and unplug the TV. Use distilled water only. Lightly dampen a clean, lint-free microfiber cloth. Wipe the screen in straight lines, no circles. Immediately dry with a second clean, dry microfiber cloth.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK For stubborn spots, use a 50/50 mix of distilled white vinegar and distilled water. Dampen the cloth, never spray directly on the screen. Wipe and dry immediately.
HEADS UP Never use window cleaner, alcohol, ammonia, or abrasive cloths. They strip the anti-glare coating. This damage is permanent and looks like cloudy patches.
