Diagnosis
Using glass cleaner or all-purpose sprays on brushed stainless steel causes streaking. Oils from your hands and cooking aerosols are the main soil.
How to Fix It
Use a dedicated stainless steel cleaner and polish. Spray directly onto a soft microfiber cloth, not the surface. Wipe with the grain of the brushed finish. For tough grease, a dab of mild dish soap in warm water on the cloth works first, then follow with the stainless cleaner.
If That Didn't Work
For persistent streaks or discoloration, use a very small amount of mineral oil on a cloth, wiped with the grain. This can even out the finish and hide micro-scratches.
Heads Up
Never use abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh chemicals like bleach or oven cleaner. They will permanently scratch and dull the finish. The grain on this model runs horizontally.
