DIAGNOSIS The 180Hz mode is an Overclock function that must be manually enabled in the monitor's On-Screen Display (OSD) before it becomes available in Windows or driver settings.
FIX Press the joystick on the back of the monitor to open the OSD. Navigate to the Game Adjust menu. Select Overclock. Toggle it from Off to On. A warning message will appear; confirm. The monitor will test the overclock. If successful, the setting is saved. Now, in Windows, right-click the desktop and select Display Settings > Advanced Display Settings. Select the monitor, choose Display Adapter Properties, go to the Monitor tab, and you should now see 180Hz in the Screen Refresh Rate dropdown. Select it and apply.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The 180Hz overclock may fail if your DisplayPort cable is not high-bandwidth. Use the cable that shipped with the monitor. Also, ensure you are connected via DisplayPort, as HDMI on this model is limited to 144Hz. If Overclock fails in the OSD, the monitor will revert to 144Hz; this is a panel limitation and not a fault.
HEADS UP Running at 180Hz may slightly increase motion clarity but can also raise panel temperature and, for some units, cause minor visual artifacts. If you see faint horizontal lines or flicker at 180Hz, revert to 144Hz. The overclock setting is per input source.
