Use the Blacklist feature. It permanently blocks a device's MAC address from accessing your network.
- Open the Deco app.
- Tap the menu and go to Blacklist.
- Tap Add clients to blacklist.
- Select the device you want to block from the list of currently connected clients. Its connection will be terminated immediately.
- To block a device not currently connected, tap Add other devices to blacklist and manually enter its MAC address.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the device is a smart home gadget you control via the Deco app (an IoT device), blacklisting it in the main menu may not be the right path. Instead, go to the Overview section, find the device, and manage or remove it from there.
HEADS UP: Changing your Wi-Fi password will also disconnect all devices, forcing them to re-enter the new password. This is a broader solution if you suspect unauthorized access but don't know which specific device it is.
