how do i prioritize a specific room with the honeywell t9 and the wireless sensors?

— asked by Sarah

You can set Priority to focus comfort on specific rooms. The thermostat will average the temperatures from your selected rooms to control the system.

Here's how you set it up:

  1. First, ensure your wireless sensors are connected (see the sensor pairing steps).
  2. On the thermostat, press the Menu area.
  3. Navigate to Priority settings.
  4. You'll have options: Selected Rooms or Active Rooms.
  5. Choose Selected Rooms to manually pick which rooms contribute to the average temperature. Select the rooms you want to prioritize.
  6. Alternatively, choose Active Rooms to let the thermostat automatically use rooms where motion is detected.

The thermostat display will show the current priority type and the number of rooms being prioritized.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If a room isn't showing up, check that its sensor is online. A room without activity (no motion) won't contribute to the average when using the Active Rooms setting.
