DIAGNOSIS The thermostat is satisfying its temperature call too quickly, usually because the temperature sensor is getting a false reading from a poor location.
FIX The thermostat is likely installed in a bad spot. Is it near a heat source (lamp, TV, direct sunlight), in a drafty hallway, or right above a vent? Relocating it to an interior wall away from these is the real fix. As a temporary workaround, you can adjust the "Cycle Rate" (also called Anticipator). Go to Menu > Installation > Advanced > Cycle Rate and increase the number of cycles per hour (e.g., from 3 to 5) for longer, less frequent runs.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Your AC unit itself might have a safety (like a high-pressure switch) tripping due to low refrigerant, a dirty filter, or a frozen coil. Check/change your air filter. If the indoor coil is iced over, turn the system OFF at the thermostat and let it thaw completely before investigating further.
HEADS UP Short cycling is brutal on your compressor and will lead to an early, expensive failure. If adjusting the cycle rate or location doesn't solve it within a day, shut the system off and call for HVAC service.
