how do i get the schedule on my wyze thermostat to actually work? i set it up but the temperature doesn't change when it's supposed to.

DIAGNOSIS The schedule is likely being overridden by another setting. The thermostat's "Hold" function or a manual temperature adjustment on the device itself will pause the schedule indefinitely.

FIX Go to the thermostat itself and tap the screen. Look at the bottom. If you see the word "Hold" or a little pin icon, that's the problem. Tap the temperature display, and you should get an option to "Cancel Hold" or "Resume Schedule." Select that. The schedule should pick up at the next programmed transition.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Open the Wyze app, go to your thermostat, and tap the Schedule tab. Make sure the toggle at the top for "Follow Schedule" is turned ON (green). Also, check that the days and times for your schedule events are set correctly—it's easy to accidentally set a 2 AM change when you meant 2 PM.

HEADS UP If you adjust the temperature manually on the physical thermostat, it automatically sets a "Hold Until..." default. You can change this default in the app's thermostat settings to "Temporary" (resumes schedule after 2 hours) or just get in the habit of using the app for quick changes, which doesn't trigger a hold.
