DIAGNOSIS That's a classic symptom of an underpowered 'C' wire, or no 'C' wire at all. The thermostat is trying to steal power from your system (power stealing), and when the system cycles, the power dips and causes a reboot.
FIX Check your wiring. The most reliable solution is to have a dedicated 'C' (common) wire providing constant 24V power. If you have an unused blue or black wire tucked in the wall, connect it to the 'C' terminal on both the thermostat wall plate AND the 'C' terminal on your furnace's control board.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If you don't have an extra wire, you can try Wyze's official workaround: use the included power adapter. Plug it into an outlet near the thermostat and connect its two wires to the 'C' and 'Rc' terminals on the wall plate. This gives the thermostat its own dedicated power source, completely independent of your HVAC system.
HEADS UP Before you start messing with the power adapter, double-check that the existing wires on your wall plate are screwed down tight. A loose wire, especially on 'Rc' or 'C', can cause intermittent power loss and random reboots all by itself.
