how do i share my deco wifi password with a guest without telling them?

Use the Guest Network feature. It creates a separate, isolated Wi-Fi for visitors.

1. Open the Deco app.
2. Tap the menu, go to Wi-Fi.
3. Tap to Enable guest network.
4. Set a name (like "Home-Guest") and a simple password for guests.
5. Guests connect to that network name. They cannot see or access devices on your main private network.

For even easier sharing with family, use 'Shake to Share'. In the same Wi-Fi menu, enable the feature. Then, with the network details screen open on your phone, physically shake your phone. It will generate a QR code. Others can scan that code with their camera to join the network without typing the password.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the Guest Network option is missing, check your Deco's operating mode. It must be in Router mode, not Access Point mode, to create a guest network. Go to Advanced > Operating Mode to check.

HEADS UP: You can set a schedule or bandwidth limit for the guest network within the app for added control.
