You need to bypass the detergent suction system. Here's the step-by-step.
- Turn off the pressure washer using the power switch.
- Pull the trigger on the spray gun to release any remaining water pressure in the system.
- Locate the detergent dial on the machine. Turn it fully to the position that stops suction (usually this is turning it away from the detergent bottle symbol or to an 'off' setting). This closes the suction path.
- For a complete rinse of the system, you can run plain water through it. Turn the machine back on, and with the detergent dial in the 'off' position, pull the trigger and spray for a minute. This will flush any residual detergent from the internal lines.
If that didn't work: If you're still getting soapy water, make sure the detergent suction tube is out of the soap bottle. Also, ensure you're using the correct nozzle. The black soap nozzle is for applying detergent. For rinsing, you should switch to one of the high-pressure color-coded nozzles (like the 25° green or 15° yellow).
Heads up: Always release pressure by pulling the trigger (with the safety lock disengaged) before you try to change nozzles or work on the machine. High pressure left in the system is dangerous.
