DIAGNOSIS Dirt, adhesive, or label debris is baked onto the thermal print head, creating a hot spot that prints a permanent line.
FIX Clean the thermal print head immediately. 1. Power OFF and unplug the printer. 2. Open the lid and remove the label roll. 3. Locate the silver metallic bar (the print head) just behind the paper guide. 4. Use the included alcohol swab or a cotton swab dipped in >90% isopropyl alcohol. 5. Firmly wipe the entire length of the silver bar several times until the swab comes away clean. 6. Let it dry completely for 60 seconds before reloading labels and powering on.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the line persists after cleaning, the print head may be physically scratched or damaged from abrasive cleaning in the past. A damaged head requires replacement—contact JADENS support.
HEADS UP Clean the print head every 2-3 label rolls as preventative maintenance. Never use water, window cleaner, or anything abrasive. Only isopropyl alcohol on a soft swab.
