Diagnosis
Windows is not detecting the monitor's high-refresh-rate capability, usually due to cable limitations or incorrect graphics driver settings.
How to Fix It
You must use a DisplayPort cable for native 144Hz. Confirm your cable is DisplayPort 1.2 or later. Connect it. In Windows Settings > System > Display > Advanced Display, the refresh rate dropdown may still show 60Hz. Open your GPU control panel (NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Adrenalin). Navigate to 'Change Resolution'. Under 'Refresh Rate', manually select 144Hz. Apply the setting.
If That Didn't Work
The monitor's internal EDID may not be communicating correctly. Power off the monitor. Disconnect all video cables. Reconnect only the DisplayPort cable, then power on. If still stuck, perform a factory reset on the monitor's OSD in 'System' > 'Reset'.
Heads Up
HDMI 2.0 can theoretically support 144Hz at 2560x1440, but driver and handshake support is less reliable than DisplayPort. For guaranteed 144Hz operation, use DisplayPort. The monitor's 'Information' page in the OSD will confirm the current input signal resolution and refresh rate.
