Water exposure increases the risk of electric shock and tool damage. Do not use it.
- Immediately remove the battery pack.
- Wipe the tool down thoroughly with a dry cloth.
- Do not reconnect the battery or attempt to use the tool.
- Let the tool dry in a warm, dry place for at least 24-48 hours. Consider using a fan to circulate air.
If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable in the future, you must plug the charger into a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protected supply. This reduces the risk of electric shock.
Heads up: Do not expose power tools or battery chargers to rain or snow. Water entering a power tool can cause permanent damage and serious shock hazard.
