Diagnosis
Total power failure points to either a blown thermal fuse on the control board or a failed power supply component. This can happen from a power surge or if the unit overheated internally.
How to Fix It
First, verify the obvious: Is the power cord fully plugged into the back of the dehumidifier itself? On this model, the cord is detachable. Unplug it from the wall, pull the cord out of the socket on the back of the unit, and firmly re-seat it. Then plug the wall end back in. Sometimes that connection gets loose in shipping.
If That Didn't Work
If it's still dead, the internal thermal fuse (a small, usually white component on the main control board) has likely blown. This is a one-time safety device that cuts power if the board overheats. Replacing it requires soldering and opening the electronics cover—not a simple fix.
Heads Up
Because this is a new unit, don't start taking it apart. This is a warranty issue. Contact Frigidaire support immediately. A brand-new unit with no power at all is a defect they should handle.
