Diagnosis
The bamboo has a durable, water-based finish, but liquids can still stain if left sitting, especially on the seams.
How to Fix It
Act fast. Blot—don't rub—the spill with a clean, slightly damp cloth. For stickiness, use a mild soap (like dish soap) diluted in water on the damp cloth, wipe the area, then immediately dry it thoroughly with a separate dry cloth. That's it.
If That Didn't Work
For a tougher stain or dried residue, you can use a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) on a cloth. Test it on an inconspicuous spot first, like under the desk. Wipe gently and dry immediately. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
Heads Up
The biggest risk is liquid seeping into the seams between bamboo panels or the cable grommet holes. If a lot spilled near a seam, dry the top, then check underneath for any drips. Prolonged moisture in the seams can cause the panels to swell slightly over time.
