Diagnosis
This is almost always a propane supply issue, not a griddle problem. You're likely getting a weak flame because the tank is low, the regulator is tripped, or there's a flow restriction.
How to Fix It
First, turn all knobs to OFF and disconnect the propane tank hose. Wait 30 seconds. Reconnect the hose slowly, making sure it's threaded correctly and hand-tight. Now, open the tank valve SLOWLY—a full, fast turn can trip the safety regulator. Wait another 10 seconds, then light one burner at a time, starting on High. This reset sequence fixes it 90% of the time.
If That Didn't Work
Swap in a different, full propane tank. If it heats fine with the new tank, your first tank was just too low (these griddles suck fuel fast). If it's still weak, check the small holes in the burner tubes for spider webs or debris blocking the gas flow—a common issue after storage.
Heads Up
Don't try to adjust the regulator or bypass safety features. The system is designed to trip if it detects a sudden surge, like a leaking hose. If resetting and a new tank don't work, the regulator itself might be faulty and needs replacing.
