The red blinking light means the filter life is at 0% and the filter should be replaced. You need to install a new filter and reset the indicator.
- Replace the old filter with a new one. Wash your hands first, then flush the new filter with cold running tap water for 15 seconds before inserting it. Line up the groove in the filter with the ridge in the reservoir and press firmly for a tight seal.
- Reset the indicator. Press and hold the STATUS button. If you're using a standard white filter, hold it for 2 seconds until all lights blink twice, then release. The green STANDARD FILTER light will blink three times to confirm the 40-gallon mode is set. If you're using a blue LONGLAST+ filter, hold the button for 6 seconds until the green LONGLAST FILTER light blinks three times for the 120-gallon mode.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the red light keeps blinking after resetting, you may have selected the wrong filter mode. Repeat the reset process, holding for the correct duration (2 seconds for standard, 6 seconds for LONGLAST+). Also, ensure you're filling the reservoir to the Max Fill line and closing the lid promptly for the indicator to count accurately.
HEADS UP: The indicator runs on a non-replaceable sealed battery. After several years, it will stop working, but your pitcher will still function. You must continue to change filters manually every 2 months (standard) or 6 months (LONGLAST+) for clean water.
