Yeah, this one's common. Usually means the filter isn't seated right, or the lid isn't closed properly.
First, check the filter. Take it out and re-install it. There's a groove on the filter that has to line up perfectly with the ridge inside the reservoir. Press down firmly until you feel it lock into place. A loose filter is the number one cause of leaks.
Next, check the fill lid. Make sure it's completely closed after you add water. If you have a model with a 'Max Fill' line, only fill the reservoir to that line and not above. Overfilling can cause spills that look like leaks.
If it's still leaking, inspect the pitcher itself for cracks. Hand-wash only with mild detergent—no dishwasher. A crack in the reservoir or pitcher body means it's time for a replacement.
Heads up: Always wait until the reservoir is empty before you refill it. And only keep the fill lid open for more than 5 seconds if you're actively adding water.
