The most likely cause is the forward/reverse control button is in the center, locked-off position.
- Check the control button on top of the trigger. The center position locks the tool off.
- Slide the button fully to the left or right. Ensure the trigger is released when you change the button's position.
- Squeeze the trigger. You should hear the motor engage.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The trigger switch itself may be faulty. A power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired. Do not attempt to force it or bypass it.
HEADS UP: If the tool has been dropped, take it to an authorized service center. Do not operate a tool that has been damaged.
