You're likely starting with the torque setting too high. Use the lowest setting to start.
- Turn the torque adjustment ring to the smallest number. A smaller number means lower torque.
- Use this setting to drive the screw to the desired depth. It will disengage (click) when it hits the set torque, preventing over-driving.
- If you need more power, increase the torque setting one click at a time until the screw seats properly without stripping.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK:
- Check your drill bit/screwdriver bit. A worn or incorrect bit will cam out and strip the screw head. Use sharp, clean bits.
- Ensure you are using the correct speed. Use Speed 1 (lower speed, higher torque) for driving screws.
HEADS UP: Let the tool do the work. Do not force it. Forcing a power tool leads to loss of control, stripped fasteners, and tool damage.
